Independence 69, Princeton 57
Coal City – Ashton Arthur erupted for 29 points as Independence moved to 3-1 with a 69-57 win over Class AAA Princeton.
Arthur netted 11 free throws in the win while Brock Green finished with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Sylas Nelson added 13 points.
Princeton’s Jayce Gum scored 33 points in the loss.
Meadow Bridge 58, Heritage Christian 35
Meadow Bridge picked up a road win Friday, holding Heritage Christian in check for a 58-35 victory.
Trent Roels led the Wildcats again with 23 points while Trip Roles netted 13. Keaton Rozelle was good for nine points.
Isaiah Solomon led Heritage with 11 points.
