Institute – Summit’s early season gauntlet produced another loss Thursday as the Falcons fell 63-55 to Winfield at West Virginia State.
Eli Patton dominated again, pouring in 37 points for the Falcons while Kyler Carpenter netted eight.
Owen Taylor led Winfield with 17 points in the win.
Summit will play PikeView on Dec. 29.

Charmco – Greenbrier West rolled another regional foe Thursday, toppling River View 57-34 in Charmco.
Another balanced effort paved the way for the Cavs who saw eight players score led by Cartr Randall’s 13 points.
Issac Crane added 10 points as well in the win.

Gardner – Bluefield roared back in the fourth quarter Thursday, toppling county rival PikeView 69-63 in Gardner.
The Beavers outscored PikeView 17-8 in the final frame to secure the victory with Jase Smith scoring seven of his game-high 22 points in the frame.
Davion Hickman and Amari Helms added 16 each in the win.
Nate Vestal led PikeView with 18 points in the loss.
