Lindside – Bluefield lit up the airways Friday night, accumulating 235 yards passing in a 35-27 victory over James Monroe in Lindside.
Max Simpson led the charge, hitting six different receivers for the 235 yards, tossing touchdown passes to four different receivers. Leading the way was Jordan Hess with five catches for 94 yards and a score while Willis Wilson led the ground attack with 97 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.
The Beavers maintained control through most of the game, leading 35-7 halfway through the third quarter, yielding a pair of touchdowns in the final 30 seconds of the game.
James Monroe piled up 415 yards of total offense, led by QB Ryan Mann who threw for 268, finding four different receivers for touchdowns. Kadyn Hines was his top target, hauling in three passes for 125 yards and a score while Brock Parker rushed seven times for 149 yards.
