Thanks to our friends at Lewis Nissan, the Player of the Week poll has found a new home!
Following up the success of our basketball and baseball/softball Player of the Week polls, we’re launching one for football season as well!
Each week we’ll select one player from the area teams that wins a game. Coaches are welcome to nominate a player. Nominations must be in by 2 p.m. each Saturday.
The winner will be chosen by Play Sheet Sports and a guest picker. If the two don’t agree, the poll will be used as a tiebreaker. The winner each week will receive a trophy commemorating their victory.
The player with the most votes each week will advance to our Community Choice Poll. At the end of the year, all 11 Community Choice winners will be entered into a poll where the community can pick their Player of the Year from those 11 players. The winner will receive a trophy commemorating their success and the support their community gave them.
The poll will close Tuesday at 3 p.m.
