New Richmond – Westside dominated from start to finish Friday in a 54-6 victory over rival Wyoming East Friday night in New Richmond.
The Renegade defense finished with five sacks, two forced fumbles and recoveries, two interceptions and a touchdown while adding another on special teams.
Kam York led the effort on that side of the ball with 15 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble while Malaki King forced a fumble, recovered two and scored a touchdown.
On offense sophomore quarterback Bradyn Waldron finished 10 of 13 passing for 268 yards with three passing touchdowns and a two-point conversion.
His top target was Cam Perry who hauled four passes for 144 yards.
Cruze Cooper scored Wyoming East’s lone touchdown on a 1-yard run.
Westside improves to 1-0 and travels to Mingo Central next week. Wyoming East will make the long haul to Petersburg next week.
