Mount Hope – The James Monroe Mavericks kept pace in the early part of their challenging schedule once again, toppling Mount Hope Christian 2-0 before pushing Beckley in a pair of dropped sets Monday night in Mount Hope.
James Monroe pulled out a pair of challenging sets against Mount Hope winning 26-24 and 25-18.
They eventually fell 25-19 in their second match, dropping the opening set against the Class AAAA Flying Eagles 25-19 before pushing them to the brink in a 26-24 loss in the final set.
